Of all the Ionian islands, Kefalonia is the largest. Kefalonia is located west of the Greek mainland: from the most northern island of Corfu, which is close to Albania, to Zakynthos, which extends just as far as the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland. The island has a very rugged coast, rich in lush green landscapes and mountainous. The highest mountain is Mount Ainos. You can visit the many villages and towns there. Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia. The unique appeal that Kefalonia always has can be explained by its influential history. The people of Kefalonia have also experienced a turbulent and often violent period of war, poverty and earthquakes.

Toilet system:
Because the drain pipes in Greece are much too narrow, toilet paper, waste, sanitary facilities, etc. must be used

blockages can occur in the system.

Language:
Modern Greek is the official language in Kefalonia. Both English and German are also intelligible on this island.

Kefalonia has a Mediterranean climate. The island offers you a long and warm summer, where the sea is cool, but not too cold for diving. The sun shines all year round.
