Flight information:
It is about a 16.5-hour flight to Denpasar on KLM or Singapore Airlines. This is always via Singapore in 2023. Other Airlines are also possible, but you will have a stopover somewhere else. We can book flights for you. The airports that are possible from the Netherlands:

Car hire :
It is not possible to rent a car. We can, however, arrange a car with driver for you. It is nearly a three-hour drive from Denpasar, but you get a nice sightseeing drive. This resort also pairs well with Resort Gecko Bali which is closer to the airport.

On site, however, you can rent scooters.

Language:
Bali has its own language: Balinese (Basa Bali), but people also speak the national language, Indonesian. Because many tourists come to Bali, people generally speak English. At our destination Resort Gecko Bali, people also speak Dutch.

Currency:
Because Bali is a province and island of Indonesia, you pay here with the Indonesian Rupiah. For 1 euro, you will receive approximately 16,475.00 Rupiahs (March 2023).
Virtually all cards to withdraw cash are accepted, just be sure to set your card to world payment…. Credit cards are also accepted often only visa and Mastercard (except excursions).

Time difference:
In Bali, it is 7 hours later than in the Netherlands.

Climate:
Bali has a tropical climate. Officially, there is a wet and a dry season, but it can rain all year round. The showers are often short and intense that pass quickly. Daytime and nighttime temperatures are above 20 degrees, so you won’t be bothered much by these showers. The sea water temperature is also above 25 degrees Celsius all year round. In the months of June through October, the intensity of rainfall is the least.
