Puglia is located in the south-east of Italy. It lies on the Ardian Sea and the Ionian Sea. Puglia is the main producer of olives in Italy. A lot of wine is grown in the Salento region (in the south). Well-known names are Negroamaro and Primitivo. A wide range of sights is offered here, such as the Trulli houses in Alberobello, the baroque city of Lecce, the white city of Ostuni and Castel del Monte, which you see on the Italian 1 cent.
All housing types have an outside terrace with seating with garden chairs. The beds include sheets, towels are included and your room is cleaned daily. All bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.
Apartment Mesagne/ 33 m2 / 2-3 people
This apartment is located in the modern part of the Masseria Grottamiranda. There is a living room with a sofa bed, a large and fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom with a double bed of 160×200 cm and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. From the living room and kitchen you enter a large terrace with garden.
Matera apartment / 15m² / 1-2 persons
This type is located on the ground floor in the new part of the Masseria Grottamiranda.
There is a large room with a large bed, the bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. There is a small but well-equipped kitchen for you to use.
When you stay in this type you can also use the terraces on 3 levels. The first is a vaulted terrace where you can enjoy your meals and relax in the shade, the second level is suitable for relaxation and reading pleasure at the foot of a hundred year old olive tree and a third terrace gives you access to a well oriented barbecue where you can prepare delicious meals.
Apartment Monopoli / 20-22 m² / 1-2 persons
There are 3 rooms belonging to this name, all three rooms are located in the modern part of the building.
Living room with double bed and Italian TV, the kitchenette (2-burner electricity and fridge) is located behind a sliding door.
There is a bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Besides a private terrace, you can also use a terrace under a gazebo to sit in the shade and there is a large terrace near the barbecue that you can use for free.
Number 1 is on the corner and has a slightly larger shower.
Apartment Ostuni / 28-31 m² / 2-4 persons
Number 4 is in the old part of the building and has a beautiful high ceiling (star-shaped). There is a large double bed of 160 × 200 cm, table with 4 chairs, open kitchen with fridge and 2-burner electric hob and a TV with Italian channels. Extra bedroom with bunk beds of 180 × 80 cm, bathroom with small shower, sink, toilet and bidet and cupboard. This is approximately 34 m.
Number 9 is on the other side of the building also in the old part. The downstairs area has a living room with a dining table with 4 chairs, sofa and cupboard, bedroom with bunk bed of 180 × 80 cm, bathroom with small shower, sink, toilet and bidet, open kitchen with fridge and 2-burner electric hob and a TV with Italian channels. On top of the mezzanine is a double bed of 160 × 200 cm and bedside tables.
Apartment Lecce / 33 m2 / 2-4 people
These are numbers 5, 6 and 8 and all three have a mezzanine, they are all located in the old part of the building with the high star ceiling. The downstairs area has a living room with a dining table with 4 chairs, sofa bed, which is used as a double bed and cupboard, bathroom with small shower, sink, toilet and bidet, open kitchen with fridge and 2-burner electric hob and a TV with Italian transmitters. On top of the mezzanine is a double bed of 160 × 200 cm and bedside tables.

By car:
Grottamiranda is approximately 2025km from Utrecht.
A car (or rental car) is a good way to travel around Italy and useful if you want to visit slightly remote places. The roads in Italy are of good quality. On the highways it is regularly indicated where the nearest petrol stations / restaurant, picnic areas are. Please note that you have to pay toll on the Italian motorways. You can pay by credit card or cash at the toll gates.
Furthermore, you must be in possession of International Insurance Certificates or the green card if you are going with your own car.
A Dutch driving license is sufficient, so an international driving license is not necessary.
With the plane:
About 2 hours and 45 minutes to Brindisi or Bari. It is approximately a 25-minute drive from Brindisi and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Bari.
