Monte Marina
Destination: Spain, Spain – Canary Islands, Fuerteventura
Travel time (from): 7 days
Monte Marina is just a few meters from the clear sandy beach in the south of Fuerteventura, which is very popular with naturists. The resort is set in beautiful, well-maintained surroundings with a refreshing contrast of miles of sandy beaches and the impressive desert and volcanic landscape.
Enjoy the large seawater pool or Atlantic Ocean in combination with the sun and fresh air.
An all round relaxed atmosphere on one of the most beautiful naturist beaches on the island.
Monte Marina and Marina Playa are under the same owner. To go to the sea, from Monte Marina, cross the quiet street to the hotel Marina Playa and then walk past the hotel to the beach (this road descends quite steeply). So you should go to the beach dressed. On the kilometre-long beach you will see dressed and naked people recreate together. Sheltered walls have been built on the beach to protect you from the wind.
Monte Marina has apartments on the ground floor and on the first floor. These apartments are built around the swimming pool. Opposite Monte Marina, the hotel Marina Playa- hotel is located directly on the beach. This is where the reception and restaurant are located, which can also be used by the guests of Monte Marina. The sauna of Marina Playa can also be used by guests of Monte Marina, but for a fee. At the apartments of Monte Marina you can walk naked to the pool from your terrace or balcony.
Due to the possibility of Marina Playa, this hotel is suitable for growing teenagers who no longer want to go on holiday naked. On the beach is dressed and naked mixed up. Parents can get a key to swim naked in the Monte Marina pool, while the kids can swim dressed in the Marina Playa pool.
If Monte Marina is fully booked, you can rent a room at Marina Playa. You will receive a key to use the facilities of Monte Marina. Especially from floor 3 you have a very nice view of the sea.
Monte Marina has 2-room apartments B, C and D and 3-room apartment E. Type B is on the ground floor, in which a kitchen unit with a 2-burner stove, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, extractor hood, living room in which a small staircase (2 steps). Fuerteventura is the elongated island between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Corralejo is the town in the north where the boat from Lanzarote arrives. Lanzarote is only half an hour away by boat. On October 1, 2013, Gran Hotel Natura opened its doors to naturists here. This makes a combination trip from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura very easy. In the northeast of Fuerteventura you will also find extensive sand dunes where you can walk for hours (clothed).
Fuerteventura is one of the Spanish islands located between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. The island is 170 km long and 5 km to 30 km wide. Fuerteventura’s landscape is arid and rugged. In the north are bare hills, large sand dunes and low mountains. These are mostly old volcanoes. The very wide and kilometers long sandy beaches are mainly located in the southeast of the island. The only greenery is in a valley with palm trees, cacti and small-scale horticulture in the center of the island.
July and August are the quietest months in the Canary Islands. The sea at Monte Marina is shallow and crystal clear, the underwater fauna is very varied and one can plenty of snorkeling diving.
Particularities:
What is special about this island is that there are no official naturist beaches. It is tolerated on every beach. People with bathing suits and naturists are therefore mixed up.
Language:
Spanish is the official language in the Canary Islands. Because many English and German tourists come to Fuerteventura, people also speak English or German.
Currency:
Because the Canary Islands are a province of Spain, you can simply pay with the Euro.
Almost all cards for debit cards are accepted. Credit cards are also accepted.
Climate:
In the Canary Islands, the climate is often described as “eternal spring”. This is because the temperature actually stays the same all year round. There is therefore a subtropical climate.
However, on Fuerteventura there is a bit more wind than on the other islands.
Time difference:
On Fuerteventura it is 1 hour earlier than in the Netherlands.

On May 3, 2022, we received the following assessment about Monte Marina:
The accommodation was perfect. During the Corona period they renovated the apartments and it is completely up-to-date again. The sauna is also more spacious and renovated. The service was superb. We had a fridge that hummed a lot and three hours after we got to the front desk there was a new fridge. We will definitely go again!
