The Limousin is a breed of cow since the end of 17th century has been bred as a working breed. This breed of cow comes original from the Central Massive. You can also find these cows in the pastures around Creuse Nature. The Limousin is a big breed; a cow becomes 150-160 cm high and a bull 170-180 cm. The Limousin is blond red to russet and hast short horns.
Lovers of nature, who enjoy traditions during their trips, feel a big affinity with this region. In the surrounding of Creuse Nature is it possible to hike. In the green of the woods with rivers like the Creuse, the Vienne and the Dordogne.
At a distance of 5 to 25 kilometer are nice trips for all ages. To the picknick-and playgrounds at the old watermill, or at the old convent along the petite Creuse, a branche of the Creuse. Along the petite Creuse is also the castle of Boussac, where George Sans have written her roman Jeanne. Here a beautiful Gobelin from the collection of the famous Tapisserie d’Aubusson.
Accommodations
Creuse Nature has accommodations for all bugets. You can camp basic in a tourcaravan with awning or in a completely furnished bungalowtent. U make use of the sanitary block that is located in the middle of the camping. When you would like to stay a bit more luxurious you can rent a Mobilhome, There is a small mobilhome for maximal 3 people, a Retro-Mobilhome for the fans of bigger mobilhomes when you need more space. Beside that has Creuse Nature also a small Chalet and a large Ecologisch Maison. When you are more a fan of Glamping, you can book a safaritent with own bath and toilet.
All accommodation have a livingroom with sitting area and a kitchen. In the caravan is the sitting area also your bed. The bungalowtent has 3 cabines with in total 4 single beds. All other accommodations have a bathroom with shower/bath and toilet. Only the Retro and the small Mobilhome doesn’t have a shower. In the Safaritent is a double bed of 210 cm long and there is 1 tent with toilet. The Ecologische Maison has a fireplace, microwave and dish-washing machine. All accommodations have a bedroom with double bed, at the other rooms are single beds (sometimes. a bunk bed). Sometimes there is a sofa in the livingroom.

Auto:
Creuse Nature is circa 805 km from Utrecht.
A (rental) car is a good way to travel through France and handy for when you want to visit some locations. The roads in France are of good quality. On the highways is described where the nearest gas station / restaurant, picnic areas are. Please note that you need to pay toll on French highways. The toll can be paid by cash or credit card.
Furthermore, you must be owned by International Insurance certificates known as the green card if you go by car. In France, it is obligatory to have an alcohol tester in the car.
A valid driver’s license, is necessary.
Plane:
This is a bit tougher, u can fly to Lyon, but you need a rental car. Creuse Nature is a tough destination to go to without a car.
Language:
The official language is French in France. In each region have people their own dialect. In the tourist areas can the people speak English.
Currency:
Just like in the Netherlands you can pay in France with the Euro. By most banks you can go with credit cards and travelers checks. With a Dutch bank- giro or debit card that mentions a maestro or cirrus sign, you can pin at the ATMs. The cards from American Express, Diners Club, via, MasterCard and Eurocard will be accepted by almost all restaurants, shops and petrol stations.
Climate:
Limousin is a region on the west side of the Central Massive in France. Limousin and the capital Limoges have a mild climate. In the spring starts the sun shining, and the summers are warm. Because Limoges is located at the Central Massive can it be rainy for days. The several precipitation per month is never more than 100 mm.
