Umbria is located in the heart of Italy. The river Tiber flows through Umbria and here is the reservoir Lago di Corbara, but this region is not by the sea. Umbria is located in the heart of Italy. The river Tiber flows through Umbria and here is the reservoir Lago di Corbara, but this region is not by the sea. You can take the train to Rome in Narni (about 20 minutes by car). This will take you there in 1 hour and it costs € 6.25 (July 2020). Umbria is also a beautiful green province.
Pomario di Monte Piglio is a converted farmhouse. There are 3 rooms for rent with breakfast. There are several seating areas outside that you can use.The beds include sheets (changed once a week, unless you want it more often), the towels are included (changed every other day if you put them on the floor) and your room is cleaned every other day. All bathrooms have a shower and toilet, the Klimt room also has a bidet.

Room Klimt / approx. 40m² / 1-2 persons
This room, named after the Austrian painter, is located on the ground floor, the entrance is next to the reception.
This is a large room with a large round bed diameter of 2.00 meters, multicolored slate floor, in the bathroom is a shower, sink, bidet and toilet. There is a velvet Art Deco style sofa, a sofa and walk-in closet, TV with Italian channels.< br

Dalí room / about 25 m² / 1-2 people
This room, named after the Spanish painter, is located on the first floor and accessible from the large balcony which also provides access to the wellness area.
Room with a 2-person Flou bed (175×200 cm) and Italian TV, the floor is made of green slate and there are cherry wood furniture. There is a Stokke chaisse longue, the entrance door dates from the 18th century.
There is a bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink.

Magritte room / approx. 20 m² / 1-2 persons
This room is the smallest and named after the Belgian surrealist painter. There is a large double bed of 160 × 200 cm on an antique waxed teak floor and furniture from the 20th century. Not really a nice seat, you can do this outside. Bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin tiled in Rosa Prlino marble. Also located on the 1st floor.

By car:
Pomario di Monte Piglio is approximately 1550 km from Utrecht.
A car (or rental car) is a good way to travel around Italy and useful if you want to visit slightly remote places. The roads in Italy are of good quality. On the highways it is regularly indicated where the nearest petrol stations / restaurant, picnic areas are. Please note that you have to pay toll on the Italian motorways. You can pay by credit card or cash at the toll gates.

Furthermore, you must be in possession of International Insurance Certificates or the green card if you are going with your own car.

A Dutch driving license is sufficient, so an international driving license is not necessary.

With the plane:
Approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes to Perugia, from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport you can fly direct with KLM and ITA Airways. It is approximately a 45 minute drive from Perugia.
