Valalta is one of the oldest naturist holiday villages and has a coastline of 5 km. This coastline has mainly pebble beaches with rocks. Valalta is located on the deep 12 km long Limfjord and is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. It is useful to bring water shoes, because of the rocks and possible sea urchins that can be found there. One of the great attractions of Valalta is the large swimming pool around which there are some nice shops, a health center with massage and a bar.
As far as housing is concerned, Valalta is divided into 3 areas. The houses with a “V” in front of it are in the “Valalta” area, which is located in relation to the sea behind the center with the restaurants. The houses here are often placed in courtyards. The houses with an “L” in front and the S houses are located in the area “Lavri”, which is next to the swimming area and is situated slightly closer to the sea. The houses here are often placed in rows. The 3rd area includes the mobile homes and these are located behind the Valalta area and a part next to the harbor, up the mountain. All accommodations are equipped with duvets, 2 sunbeds, Sat. TV and have their own covered parking (with mobile homes directly at the house, uncovered).

Croatia is located on the Adriatic Sea and borders Slovenia and Hungary to the north, Serbia and Montenegro to the east and Bosnia-Herzegovina to the south. Italy is located on the other side of the sea. The surface of Croatia is 56,542 km². This is about the same size as Belgium and the Netherlands combined.
Croatia has about 4.4 million inhabitants. The Croats are a very hospitable people. The modesty coupled with their great hospitality makes a tourist feel at home in this beautiful country. But besides being hospitable, friendly and helpful, Croats are above all a very proud people.
Valalta is located in Istria, part of Croatia. Between Rovinj and Vrsar you have a fjord called the Limfjord where Valalta is located. It is located on the side of Rovinj which is about 6 kilometers from Valalta. Rovinj is a traditional Venetian port city. The Italian influences are clearly recognizable.
In addition to Croatian, you can get along well with English, German or Italian in the tourist areas. Along the coast, a dialect similar to Venetian is spoken. Croatian language belongs to Slavic language family.
The official currency of Croatia is the kuna (kuna = 100 lipas). Most stores also accept euros.
Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, post offices and most travel agencies, hotels and campgrounds.
In larger towns you can go almost everywhere with Traveler Checks and credit cards. You can also ‘pin’ in the larger places. Always have enough cash. In some areas, banks and post offices are scarce.
Croatia is a sunny country. The sun shines for about 2500 hours a year and the average temperature in summer is 23 ° C. There are two climate zones in Croatia; in the interior a continental climate predominates, partly also mountain climate. Inland, winters are harsh and wet and summers hot and dry. There is a lot of rain and snow in the mountains. The area along the Adriatic coast has a pleasant Mediterranean climate with many hours of sunshine, dry warm summers and mild wet winters.
