Sun Eden in South Africa is a beautiful naturist campsite with homes made of stone in traditional South African style. You will fly into Johannesburg and Sun Eden is close to Pretoria in the province of Gauteng.

Deluxe accommodation
We rent Deluxe accommodation. These are nice homes with good beds and private bathrooms. All homes have a braai (= African bbq)
There are all different properties that fall under Deluxe.
Welpie
Welpie has a separate bedroom with a double bed 140×190 cm, living room with 2 chairs and a dining table, kitchen with large refrigerator, microwave, oven and 4-burner gas stove, kettle and toaster. Bathroom with shower with a window overlooking the garden, sink and toilet.
Hadeda
One room with a bed of 140×190 cm, sofa, kitchen with 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator, oven, kettle and microwave. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Outdoor picnic table.
Baobap
Downstairs Living kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, oven, 5-burner gas stove, toilet, garage, upstairs 3 bedrooms each with private bathroom and veranda around the house.
Budget homes
The budget homes are slightly smaller and slightly simpler as the more luxurious homes. They also have a little less privacy.
Impala en Duiker
These two identical homes with the kitchen outside with a small refrigerator and 2 gas hobs, microwave, toaster and kettle. Inside 1 room with bed 14×190 cm, folding bed for 1 person and shower stall and toilet (without door in front of it).
Safari tent
A room with double bed of 140x190cm, refrigerator, kettle and microwave. You must use the sanitary building nearby for toilet and showers. There is also a large guest kitchen for your use.
General information
Flight information: approximately 11 hours from Amsterdam The flight is can with a direct scheduled flight with KLM. If you do want a different airline, you can request a no-obligation quote from Internatuur.
Other information: We can also put together round trips for you. Optionally, a combination with Cape Town is also possible. Request a free quote for the combination. You do not need Malaria pills for stays in Cape Town and the surrounding area, nor if you stay at Dinokeng and Pilanesberg. Only the Krueger Park requires malaria pills .
South Africa, of course, is known for its safaris and wines. Here some activities in South Africa:

You can fly daily from Amsterdam directly to Johannesburg with KLM. There are also flights with a stopover. It’s about 11 hours to fly from Amsterdam to Johannesburg

South Africa, is a republic in the south of the African continent. South Africa borders Swaziland (430 km) to the east, Mozambique (491 km) to the northeast, Zimbabwe (225 km) and Botswana (1840 km) to the north and Namibia (855 km) to the northwest. In 1947, the (then) Union of South Africa formally took possession of the uninhabited Prince Edward Island and Marion Island off the coast of Cape Town. Other well-known offshore islands include Santa Cruz near Port Elizabeth and Robben Island near Cape Town.
In the Kruger Park, you can see the Big Five. The Big Five are the elephant, lion, buffalo, rhinoceros
and leopard.
South Africa is in the southern hemisphere; when it is summer in Holland,it is winter there and when it is summer there, it is winter in Holland.
In South Africa, people drive on the left.
Cape of Good Hope (near Cape Town) is the name of the southwestern tip of Africa.
Off the coast of Cape Town lies Robben Island. It was on this island that Nelson Mandela was detained.
Time difference
South Africa has no summer and winter time. As a result, during our summer months of April through October, there is no time difference in South Africa, and from November through March, there is a 1-hour time difference with the Netherlands. On Sun Eden, therefore, it is 1 hour later than in the Netherlands.
Language
The main official languages are South African and English. In major cities and tourist centers, you can get by in English. Dutch is understood by many.
Currency
The means of payment in South Africa is the Rand. You can withdraw at all ATMs, provided your debit card has a Cirrus or Maestro logo. Credit cards are also accepted.
climate
The climate in South Africa depends a lot on the area you are in during the tour.
The winter period runs from April to September and the summer period from October to March. A desert climate prevails in the west, with the exception of the area around Cape Town. A Mediterranean climate prevails there. In winter, however, there is some rainfall here in the Cape area.
The south and east has a maritime climate with precipitation in all seasons. Inland, winter is dry.
