Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands. It lies between Gran Canaria and La Palma.
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and belongs to Spain. Sights worth seeing include the Botanical Garden and Loro Parque with its attractions in Puerto de la Cruz, the wine museum in El Sauzal in the north of the island, the small idyllic mountain village of Masca in the wildly romantic Teno Mountains and the historic old towns of La Orotava and La Laguna.

La Candelaria is located about 20 km south of Santa Cruz and about 46 km from Tenerife South Airport. It is described as one of the most beautiful places in Tenerife with a very special charm. It is the most important pilgrimage site in the Canary Islands with the church of the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, which houses the black Madonna La Morenita.
The Candelaria area is traversed by an extensive network of hiking trails, making it the perfect region to explore the beautiful rural area on foot.
The 3 vacation homes are located on a spacious finca, 250 m above the coastal town of La Candelaria in Malpais de la Candelaria, about 5 km from the town center, in the middle of nature yet central.
The villas are scattered over the hillside on a plot of about 8,000 square meters. Each house is completely individual with its own garden, barbecue, pool, driveway and parking.
Casita Carmen – 1 bedroom
The house is built with the typical Cantos stones of the Canary Islands, which exude a rustic atmosphere.
For 2-3 persons, about 55 square meters. Living room with folding sofa and satellite TV with German programs, stone kitchenette with stove, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster. 1 bedroom two single beds and built-in closet. Bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, linens and towels provided. Terrace (12 m²) with seating, table and deck chairs. Large garden with small cave and private pool (6 x 3 m).
Casita Anastasia – 1 bedroom
For 2-3 persons, approx. 59 square meters. Living room with folding sofa and satellite TV with German programs, stone kitchenette with stove, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster. 1 bedroom with 1 single bed, 1 double bed (1.40 x 2.00m) and built-in closet. Bathroom with shower and toilet. The bathroom has 2 doors and can be accessed from the bedroom and also the living room. Bedding and towels are provided.
Shaded, partially covered terrace with seating and table overlooking the sea, small pool, barbecue, deck chairs, washing machine and parking.
Casita Mango – 2 bedrooms
For 2-4 people, approx. 63 square meters. Living area with equipped kitchen with 4-burner stove, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, satellite TV with German programs, dining table and folding sofa.
One bedroom with a double bed (135×195), 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower, toilet. Bedding and towels are provided.
Terrace directly in front of the house with seating and table, overlooking the garden and the sea. Private swimming pool (6x4m) with lawn and barbecue area, deck chairs, parking.

- Playa Candelaria – Punta Larga – beach, about 6 km away
- “Playa Candelaria” (Playa de Punta Larga) is the largest sandy beach in the municipality of La Candelaria, a “black sand beach” with wooden walkways for sunbathing
- The beach “Playa Puerto de Güimar” – about 10 km away – is a newly constructed 800-meter-long sandy beach and is located on the southeast coast of Tenerife.
Shopping and hospitality
Stores and restaurants in La Candelaria approx. 5 km. On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, there is a market in the market hall next to the town hall.

Spanish is the official language in the Canary Islands. Because many English and German tourists come to Tenerife, people also speak English or German.
Currency:
Because the Canary Islands are a province of Spain, you can simply pay with the Euro.

Time difference:
In Tenerife, it is 1 hour earlier than in the Netherlands.
Climate:
In the Canary Islands, the climate is often described as “eternal spring”. This is because the temperature actually stays the same all year round. There is therefore a subtropical climate.
